The Boy Who Played With Fusion February 24, 2012

Posted by stem4kidsinfo in Uncategorized.

This is an amazing article.  It describes the life of Taylor Wilson, who, at age 16, built a nuclear fusion reactor.  He is an amazingly bright youth, who began playing with radiation in his garage at age 10, and outdid a tour guide at the Air & Space Museum when he was 9.  It’s a great read, and I find it amazing that Taylor did all this before going to college.  Taylor has worked with professors all over the country to produce a miniature nuclear reactor, which he hopes to duplicate, eventually allowing hospitals all over the world to have their own reactors.  Taylor’s story is inspirational and motivating to people of all ages, and a reminder to never give up on your dreams.
