Discover Engineering July 7, 2011

Posted by stem4kidsinfo in Uncategorized.

Discover Engineering, from the National Engineers Week Foundation, provides a fun way for kids to be introduced to engineering via a unique aesthetic appeal, catchy music, and a focus on the many fun uses of engineering, from skateboarding to roller coasters.  It talks about the differences between science and engineering, as well as many common misconceptions about what engineers actually do.  The website also gives fun facts on many engineers and their inventions, contains many fun engineering-based games, and has links to other cool engineering sites.  I would recommend this site’s information for anyone from middle school to high school, and maybe even younger.
